By now, you might be aware that Simone Biles made a shady jab at her former teammate, MyKayla Skinner, this week.
For context, MyKayla — who competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the US gymnastics team — slammed the current Team USA's "work ethic" in a since-deleted YouTube video last month.
“Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be. The girls just don't have the work ethic,” she said of Simone’s teammates: Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera.
Proving MyKayla wrong, Simone, Suni, Jordan, Jade, and Hezly won gold at the Olympic women’s gymnastics final this week, finishing top in all four disciplines: floor, uneven bars, vault, and balance beam.
And while posting about their win, Simone made sure to reference MyKayla’s controversial remarks. She wrote on IG, “lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions.”
Iconic!
Fans and celebrities alike were obsessed with Simone’s little dig, which quickly picked up steam across social media.
Well, it seems that MyKayla wasn’t too pleased, with Simone sharing an interesting message on X, formerly Twitter, yesterday.
And although Simone didn’t share any further details, her teammate Jordan Chiles quickly came through with some receipts.
“When she blocks Simone,” Jordan wrote over a photo she’d taken of MyKayla’s Instagram profile that showed “no posts available” — a sign that the athlete has, in fact, been blocked.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted if anything else unfolds!
