Back in 2017, then-17-year-old Sabrina Carpenter appeared on The Zach Sang Show.
One particular clip from the interview has now resurfaced on X, formerly Twitter, with several fans pointing out how uncomfortable Sabrina seemed.
In the clip, Dan asked the "Espresso" singer, “Are you 18 yet?” She replied, “I’m 17.”
“Damn, you’re so young!” he said. He paused and then continued, “Well, the question I had...” before proceeding to ask her if she’s “into sexting.”
Sabrina stiffly replied, “Oh. Haha. No, I’ve actually, um, yeah, no, I’m still in the teenage phase where it’s weird if I send the first text.”
Dan said, “But what if somebody sexts you first? Do you respond, or?” Sabrina then cut him off, saying, “Actually, that’s the reason I deleted Snapchat in the first place... I just created one a month ago, but I was getting bad things. So, I deleted Snapchat.”
“And then I got it again, but it’s a public account, so I don’t really use it like that,” she laughed.
Zach then said, “See, I want bad things. When I get naked photos, it’s like an ego boost for me,” to which Sabrina replied, “Oh, that’s nice.”
Zach continued, “I never send it back because I can barely look at myself naked.” He then went on to say that he’d gladly “welcome any nude,” to which Sabrina laughed.
“If they’re sending me a nude, that means I’m worthy of the nude,” said Zach. Sabrina replied, “And they’re confident. You gotta applaud them for that.”
Zach then said that one of the crew members appeared “uncomfortable” off camera before the clip on X cut off.
Several fans were left appalled by the “gross” resurfaced clip and questioned why the podcast hosts had continued to discuss sexual topics with Sabrina after she revealed that she was 17.
Several users went on to suggest that Sabrina appeared “uncomfortable” throughout the clip, while others pointed out that she seemingly repeatedly attempted to change the topic to avoid answering the NSFW questions.
