Ryan and Blake are parents to four children: James, Betty, Inez, and baby Olin, whose name they recently revealed during the Deadpool & Wolverine press tour.
Taylor, who has been friends with Blake and Ryan for years, often honors their children in her music. In 2017, she sampled then-2-year-old James on her song “Gorgeous,” and in 2020, she mentioned James, Inez, and Betty on her album Folklore.
Ryan described the shoutouts from Taylor as “pretty damn amazing,” telling SiriusXM in 2021: “What an honor. We thought it was pretty damn amazing. We still do. You know, I still walk down the street and shake my head thinking, I can’t believe that happened.”
What’s more, Ryan has shared insight into his kids’ close relationship with Taylor, revealing in 2022 that the youngsters long viewed the global superstar as a regular family friend.
“I think what’s most exciting for them is that for the longest time, they just thought Taylor’s just a, you know, like an aunt, like a friend of mommy and daddy that’s very, very close, almost family,” he told SiriusXM.
“And then they went to a concert one day and were like, ‘Oh, oh, this isn’t a hobby,’” he said.
Fast-forward to today, and Ryan has jokingly poked fun at Taylor’s rates for babysitting his and Blake’s kids.
During a new interview with E! News, Ryan’s Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman joked that Taylor is his family’s nanny.
Ryan quipped that Taylor’s babysitting costs were “getting expensive.” He joked, “The cost of that is… I believe the accountant said, ‘Cost-prohibitive.’ But I think what he meant was, ‘Cost-insane-what-are-you-doing-I’m-no-longer-your-accountant.’”
Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters later this week!
