After Confirming That His And Blake Lively’s Fourth Child’s Name Isn’t Hidden In Taylor Swift’s Latest Album, Ryan Reynolds Has Finally Revealed What It Is

For example, James can be heard at the start of Taylor’s 2017 song “Gorgeous,” which was recorded when she was 2 years old. 

Then, in 2020, Blake and Ryan allowed Taylor to reveal Betty’s name to the world via her Folklore album. 

In her song “Betty,” Taylor name-checks three characters involved in a high school love triangle: James, Inez, and Betty. 

Attentive fans quickly realized that James and Inez were Blake and Ryan’s two oldest children, so they theorized that their third, who had been born nine months earlier, was named Betty.

So, when Taylor released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, in April of this year, it is perhaps unsurprising that fans immediately started to speculate that the name of Blake and Ryan’s fourth child was hidden somewhere in the 31 tracks.

The singer mentions no less than 35 potential names throughout the album, but a month after its release, Ryan confirmed that their little one’s name is not one of them. 

During an appearance on the Today show, Ryan joked: “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.”

Speaking at the New York premiere of his latest movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, on Monday, the actor casually shared the name as he shouted out his family. 

"I want to start by saying thank you to my wife, Blake, who is here,” he said from the stage before the screening. "I want to thank my kids, James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here.”

He then joked: “I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing — that is, the contents of this movie  — that happens in your wondrous life. I love that my entire family is here."

While it is unclear whether Olin is a little boy or a girl, it is traditionally a male name of Scandinavian origin. 

“The more the merrier, I love it,” he told E! News. "As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!”
