Justin Long Just Said That His Wife Kate Bosworth’s Reaction To Him Pooping In Their Shared Bed Was “Really Romantic”

The two managed to keep their romance completely under wraps until about a year before their wedding, which is when dating rumors first started to bubble up. 

And in a recent appearance on the PIE with Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal podcast, Justin admitted that before he met Kate, he’d happily accepted that he would probably never marry.

Describing himself as a “commitment-phobe,” the actor said that he was incredibly satisfied with his life as a “bachelor,” and that he thought he’d only ever be a “fun uncle” to his sibling’s children without having any kids of his own. 

This instantly changed when he met Kate, with whom he felt an immediate connection. The two initially became incredibly close friends, but then their relationship turned romantic. 

Speaking to Katey and Kurt, Justin explained that they were in Mexico City when he got a bad case of food poisoning.

“I was hooked up to an IV, and [Kate] was having to follow me to the bathroom with the thing,” he laughed. “It was like Dumb and Dumber. I was just, like, really comically unloading, and then, at one point that night, I woke up, and there’s no other way to say this, I can’t dance around it: I had shit the bed. I had shit the bed, and she was in the bed.”

“She was like two feet away from me with this IV bag,” Justin said of the aftermath. “And she was holding it so patiently, and she was like: ‘Everything’s fine.’ And I thought about how much I loved her. I was like: ‘I just love this person, I’m so grateful to this person.’”

Justin then shared a moment immediately after the incident, which is one of the few times that he feels as though Kate has ever judged him.

“She convinced me to take a shower after, you know, shitting the bed. You know where all you want to do is be in bed? But I got myself in the shower, I cleaned off, and then she was on the phone with the doctor, and she saw me,” he explained.

“And she looked at me, and she said: ‘What are you doing?!’” Justin recalled. “I said: ‘I’m just getting back into bed.’ And she said: ‘Don’t. Don’t do that. Don’t. Go on my side.’”

“Don’t lay in your own shit!” Kurt concluded, to which Justin replied: “That’s her line, Kurt!”

He then joked: “Her line is very far ahead, but that’s it — I crossed the line!”
