“I haven't been feeling good about my body for a while.”

As you might be aware, Ozempic — known formally as semaglutide — is a drug approved by the FDA to help lower blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes.

Despite the fact that it is not FDA-approved for chronic weight management, it has become increasingly popular in the celebrity space for weight loss. Health professionals have advised against this.

While some celebrities have publicly defended the use of Ozempic, others have warned their fans not to use the drug for weight loss or management. Sharon Osbourne, for example, got extremely candid about how harmful the drug can be as she detailed all of the horrendous side effects she’d experienced since using it.

And now, Bella has entered the conversation around Ozempic, taking to her Instagram stories over the weekend to address Hollywood's wild and increasingly unattainable beauty standards.

Sharing a video of herself wearing a leopard-print bikini, Bella began, “So, I haven't been feeling good about my body for a while.”

“And especially with everybody on Ozempic, it's setting all these crazy beauty standards that nobody can keep up with unless you're on Ozempic,” she said.

Bella went on to share, “I have swam every day and I have sweat out everything possible and I have walked everywhere. And I'm finally feeling good about myself, OK?”

“I’m finally feeling good, so Ozempic, you can...” she said before flipping off the camera.
