ZIP Files

We package our GPX data in compressed archives called “ZIP” files that have an extension “.zip” in the file name. You can open these files in a few steps on your:

Mac

  1. The file you downloaded when you purchase GPX data is compressed ZIP file.

  2. Expand that file on your computer to retrieve all the individual GPX files contained within it. To expand the file, double-click on it or choose to Open it from the menu.

  3. Depending on the package you purchased, it will contain the GPX data in a number of GPX files that have ".gpx" extension. These may be in multiple folders when you purchase all sections for an entire route.

  4. Read and agree to the GPX Data Agreement file included.
  5. View the resources file for links to:
  6. Identify track files from their names.
  7. Select the files you need for your trip, depending on the sections and direction you want to travel. You can also select all the files and decide later while on the road about the ones you want to use.
  8. Copy files to your device.
